Biography

I am a Duathlete/Triathlete and love every minute of the impact it has on my life in general. The past 18 months has been a little mixed with the first problems of my racing career, injury amongst things halted progress. I have now overcome these and looking forward staying injury free and enjoying racing....lots! I have recently made the transition to compete at long distance event and have recently changed my focus this year to race at 70.3 distance triathlon. The move up in distance has been a huge challenge but a very enjoyable one. I am now relishing the opportunity to take on new races and improve further.

Q&As

How important is nutrition to you and why?
Nutrition is of paramount importance due to the number of training hours I do each week. It does differ at different times of the year, but if my nutrition did not match this then my performance would suffer. I would not be able to train for as long or go as far as I do without making sure that I have the correct nutrition in place.
How do you spend your free time?
I love losing myself in a movie at the cinema, drinking good coffee and baking.
Greatest achievement so far?
Finishing 7th in the Duathalon World Championships.
If you were stuck on a desert island and could take one person and one item, what and who would they be?
My bike, I hate being apart from it. I don’t need anyone else when I have my bike!
