I have always been interested in both nutrition and fitness from a young age. I used to run and cycle to school regularly and have always been a vegetarian.

I became inspired to start road riding after seeing Chris Froome win the Tour in 2013 and started racing a few years later.

Last year in my gap year I cycled solo across Europe, from Norway to Spain. It was a great trip, experiences all the different cultures, ways of life and landscapes along the way. I enjoy the hill climbs the most at the end of the season.

How important is nutrition to you and why?
I have always been a vegetarian so have been interested in nutrition from a young age. I like to know what and where my food has come from and try to eat as naturally as possible.
Greatest achievement so far?
I’m better cycling uphill so hill climbs are always where I perform best. I also found cycling solo across Europe from Norway to Spain last summer a great achievement and adventure!
What’s your favourite meal/recipe?
My favourite meal would be coming home from a ride to some Pumpkin soup, with tasty home-grown Pumpkins!
If you were stuck on a desert island and could take one person and one item, what and who would they be?
Well, it would be fun to race around the island on my bike with Chris Froome!
